OpenValve Golf LLC — golf course irrigation infrastructure, mapped and remembered.
Effective September 2026
By creating an account or using OpenValve ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're setting up an account on behalf of a golf course or organization, you're agreeing on that organization's behalf, and confirming you have the authority to do so.
OpenValve is software for mapping golf course irrigation infrastructure — heads, valves, and controllers — and tracking repairs and inventory tied to that infrastructure over time. OpenValve is not an irrigation control system: it does not operate, schedule, or run your course's watering. It's the map and the memory, not the controller.
You need a real, working email address to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Each course has one or more admins who can invite crew members and manage access.
OpenValve is offered on a subscription basis, priced by course size:
New accounts include a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then at no cost.
The first 30 customers who sign up within the eligibility window (GCSAA conference season through approximately 60–90 days after) receive 20% off their subscription for the lifetime of their account, as long as the subscription remains active and in good standing.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless canceled. Payments are processed securely through Stripe; OpenValve does not store your full payment card details. You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
The maps, asset locations, repair logs, and inventory records you create belong to you and your course — not to OpenValve. We don't sell your course data, and we don't use it to train unrelated products. We host it and keep it available to you as part of providing the Service.
When an individual user's account is deleted — someone leaves the course, for example — their personal information (name, email, phone number) is removed or anonymized. The actual work they logged — repairs, mapped assets, inventory changes — stays with the course, since that history has real value to the course independent of who happened to log it. This is by design: the point of OpenValve is that this knowledge survives staff turnover.
Use OpenValve for its intended purpose: managing your own course's real irrigation infrastructure. Don't attempt to access another course's data, interfere with the Service's normal operation, or use the Service for anything unlawful.
The OpenValve name, logo, app, and underlying software are the property of OpenValve Golf LLC. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or code beyond what's needed to use the Service normally.
OpenValve is an early-stage product, actively being built. Features may change, and we'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes ahead of time. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
The Service is provided "as is." OpenValve is a record-keeping and mapping tool — it does not verify the safety, condition, or functionality of your physical irrigation infrastructure. Decisions about your course's irrigation system remain your responsibility.
To the extent permitted by law, OpenValve Golf LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You can cancel your subscription anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Meaningful changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect.

We collect what's needed to run the Service:
We use this information to provide and improve the Service, communicate with you about your account, process payments, and provide support. We don't use your course data to build unrelated products or sell it to third parties.
GPS location is core to how OpenValve works — it's how irrigation assets get mapped accurately. Location data is captured when you actively place or view an asset in the app; we don't track your location in the background outside of that use.
We don't sell your personal or course data. We share information only where it's necessary to run the Service, with service providers who process it on our behalf and only for that purpose:
Each provider is given only the access needed to do its specific job.
If you delete your individual account, we remove or anonymize your personal information — your name, email, and phone number are no longer tied to the work you logged. The work itself (repairs, mapped assets, inventory entries) remains part of your course's record, since it reflects the course's actual infrastructure and history, not just your personal data.
How to request deletion. To delete your individual account, open Settings in the OpenValve app (or on the web dashboard) and choose Delete Account. You can also email support@openvalve.golf from the address on your account and we'll handle it. To delete an entire course and its records, email us from the course admin's account.
Most courses have more than one person using OpenValve. Course data is tied to the course itself, not to any single user's account — so the course's maps and history remain intact and accessible to remaining admins and crew even as individual people join or leave over time.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls that keep each course's data isolated from every other course's.
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you're an EU or California resident, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA — reach out and we'll help.
OpenValve is a business tool for golf course maintenance professionals and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Meaningful changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
